EVESHAM United boss Phil Mullen hopes to sign Kosovan goalkeeper Bashkin Toska on a short-term basis.

The 25-year-old has played in United's last two friendlies and is expected to figure again in tomorrow's clash with Chaddesley Corbett at Common Road (3pm).

Mullen has been impressed with what he has seen so far but says he needs more match action.

He said: "We are looking to get him signed on with a view to checking him out for a month or so.

"What you have to consider is that he hasn't played competitive football for about two years. He has some good attributes but is a bit ring-rusty, but if he gets a few games under his belt he should be OK."

Toska has been living in Birmingham since arriving in this country from the war-torn country nine months ago. Mullen added: "He does speak English, not a great deal, but he is fluent in Italian!"

Admission is free to tomorrow's hastily-arranged game.
