MEMBERS of the Word of Life Christian Centre took the Church to the people last weekend in a millennium Praise in the Park festival in Stratford.
Fun activities were held on the recreation ground from last Friday afternoon until last Sunday evening while dance, drama and music were also part of the celebrations, followed by evening talks on the Christian faith.
Word of Life senior pastor, Mike White said: "The whole thing was a great success.
"About 40 or 50 children turned up each day to enjoy the activities and the men's breakfast went down well on Saturday morning at the Moat House Hotel.
"The World of Life Christian Centre is a church but not as people know it.
"We hope that those who enjoyed the festival will come along to our services at King Edward School, on Sunday mornings, at 11am."
