THAT model of Worcester to which David Birtwhistle refers (Evening News, July 24) relates to the 17th Century. St John's is not included for the simple reason that the Westside was not part of the city at that time.
In fact, Worcester Arts Workshop is to be congratulated on the excellence of the exhibit.
I am amazed that anyone could visit the Commandery, which is so filled with history and yet display such a lack of understanding of the display.
Mr Birtwhistle seems obsessed with supermarkets - is he wondering why no supermarkets are evident in the model?
D E MARGRETT,
Worcester.
