AS predicted last week the fish have responded in direct relation to the weather.

When dull and cool, good fish have been caught, but 'dog day' weather has made them difficult to tempt. Early and late must be the rule with small flies fished slowly.

Rods have averaged catches of 2 lb, but no specimens have been weighed in. The weather remains the predominant factor.
