THE art of rag rug making is being revived by a Kidderminster mother-of-three.

Sue Rowe of Yellowhammer Court, is launching an exhibition at the town library to put her work on show.

The event, Art in Fact, will also display the artwork of fellow students from Kidderminster College who have finished an art and design foundation course.

Sue, who also has an eight-year-old grandson, said: "I launched Art in Fact to gain a wider audience for our artwork.

"We have all enjoyed the course and members of the group pride themselves on the quality and originality of their work.

"It includes textiles, ceramics, metal, print and wood.

"I have always loved art and textiles and rag rug making is creative and useful as well as it recycles unwanted fabrics.

"It means that my mother and sister are always looking for old clothes for me, to make into rugs."

The show is on at the library gallery until September 17 .
