PARISH COUNCIL: The 1999/2000 accounts have been approved and presented to the auditors for approval.

Councillors have agreed to support the application by the Coach and Horses for rural rate relief.

There is now a 40mph speed limit on Upton Snodsbury Road and on A4538. The council has financed the new street calming measures along Main Street, while Worcestershire County Council has provided the signs and markings at each village entrance.

The new additional co-opted minor local authority representative for St Nicholas Middle School is Mrs Annie Davies from Bishampton.

Area forums have been established as part of the new Worcestershire County Council political structure. The first meeting of the Pershore Forum took place on July 25 and was attended by members of Pinvin Parish Council.

The memorial hall committee room has been decorated by a team of volunteers and the parish council has bought tables and chairs.

The playing fields committee is concerned at the number of dog owners allowing their animals to foul the fields, despite the presence of a bin. Please do not allow your animals to foul as the fields are used at all times by teams and the general public.
