ST JAMES'S CHURCH NEWS: On Sunday Holy Communion will be taken at 8am by the Rev David Ashburner with Evening Prayer, at 6pm to be taken by Peter Mason. There is no children's service this month. The monthly pattern of services from September onwards has now been agreed.
They are: First Sunday, 8am Holy Communion and 9.30am morning service. On the second Sunday, 9.30am Holy Communion and third Sunday a family service at 9.30am and Matins at 11am.
The fourth Sunday will have Holy Communion at 9.30am with fifth Sundays yet to be arranged.
Thanks are expressed to Canon George Smith and Mr Ashburner for taking services at St James during the interregnum.
