LEAGUE leaders Kineton, having inserted Badsey, bowled well and reduced the visitors' run tally to 47-4 at mid-point of their innings.
Bainton (10-2-17-0) bowled his overs straight through, ably supported by N Weston (6-4-16-1) and B Weston (5-4-1-2).
With wickets in hand Badsey pressed to their final score of 150-7 with once more Andy Mabbett carrying his bat for 32 not out.
B Weston finishing with (10-6-15-2) and Challinor (6-0-30-2).
Due to rain Kineton was set a reduced target of 145 off 43 overs. Badsey's main hope was to bowl tight and take early wickets, achieving the former with Jim Goldstraw (10-3-25-0) and Colin Emms (10-4-17-0). Kineton were 44 off 20 overs. However, with 10 wickets in hand the Kineton openers T Brown (77 not out) and M Townsend (25) stuck to their task until Townsend was clean bowled by John Osbourne (8-1-33-1) when the score was 71 off 25 overs.
M Bainton (31 not out) carried his bat in support of T Brown with the latter scoring the winning run in the 39th over.
