Bargain-buy Misty Eyed has a clear chance of boosting her earnings in the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother's 100th Birthday Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood tomorrow.

The Paris House filly cost a mere 2,300 Irish guineas yet has already amassed £22,000 from her three wins and can now scoop this £40,000 prize.

Misty Eyed has inherited plenty of speed from her sire, as she showed when taking a Listed race over five furlongs at Sandown on her latest start.

Despite being slowly away, she quickly made up the lost ground and swept to the front under leading apprentice Lee Newman to draw two and a half lengths clear of nearest pursuer Triple Blue at the line.

Her previous two victories were at Windsor, while her only defeat came in the Group Three Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot when she was beaten four lengths in seventh place behind Superstar Leo.

Misty Eyed suffered some buffeting in that race, otherwise she would have given the smart winner something to think about.

But she can land this Group Three race to give trainer Nerys Dutfield herbiggest success.

Happy Diamond is certainly living up to his name after having a rough time earlier in the season.

Pipped close home by Mcgillycudy Reeks at Doncaster when his rider was caught napping then relegated to fourth when beaten a neck by Freedom Quest at Newcastle, it looked as though 2000 was destined to be his unlucky year.

However, he bounced back on his return to Doncaster last month with a convincing victory by two and a half lengths over Broadway Legend.

And he looked a colt very much on the upgrade when landing a competitive handicap at Ascot only last Saturday by half a length from Westender.

The three-year-old is poised to complete a hat-trick in the day's "Showcase Handicap", the Volvo Truck Globetrotter Stakes.

His trainer Mark Johnston can complete a double with Murghem in the Glorious Tioman Island Rated Stakes.

The five-year-old gamely beat stablemate Double Eclipse at Newmarket last time to record his third successive win and is sure to give a good account off top weight.

Camberley has been absent since winning over this seven furlongs by half a length from Strahan in May.

Paul Cole's three-year-old colt is, however, worth taking a chance on in the Bonusprint Stakes (Handicap) over the same course and distance.

Seven furlongs is also Three Points's optimum trip, which the John Dunlop-trained colt can demonstrate in the Group Three Theo Fennell Lennox Stakes.

After several creditable though fruitless efforts, Three Points smashed the course record at Newbury two weeks ago when he slammed Glad Master by four lengths. He will be hard to beat judged on that performance.

Newmarket stage one of their popular evening meetings where Littlefeather can collect the booty in the Egerton Stud Fillies' Stakes for local trainer Sir Mark Prescott.

Littlefeather won three times last season, including once over this six furlongs and was a fine third to Preseli in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh.

She made a belated though highly-encouraging reappearance a month ago when fifth to Tedburrow at Newcastle and should now be cherry-ripe.
