A TIME capsule is to be buried under Bretforton Recreation Ground so future generations can see what life was like in the 20th century.
It is filled with objects, messages and pictures from groups ranging from the playgroup, school, sports club and church to the Royal British Legion, Wednesday Club, Fleece Inn and Bretforton Silver Band and will be buried under a newly installed bench.
Village fundraising has paid for the bench, dedicated to the memory of Jane Grove who died last August.
She worked at the playgroup and was a well-known supporter of many organisations and events.
Her husband Keith Grove said he was pleased to see the bench in use and it was a very pleasing gesture by the village. He said a small garden was also planned.
