Pershore Town 0
Boldmere St Michael 4
PERSHORE Town suffered their second pre-season friendly defeat against Midland Alliance members Boldmere.
Three of the visitors goals were simple tap-ins, the first in the 12th minute when Neil Hollaway netted, then in the 24th John Hanson took advantage of the on-coming keeper Mark Davis to guide the ball into the unguarded goal.
Town's Des Cox had two chances, his first lacked the power to beat keeper Andy Harper and the second close to goal was blocked by Harper.
Town keeper Davis stopped a drive by Hanson with his foot in the 53rd minute.
Darren Taft, on as sub for the Town, made a great individual run, but hit wide when well placed. Boldmere St Michael's Jimmy Quegin lobbed sub keeper Craig Brimmel to make it three ahead in the 69th minute, Quegin scored again in the 80th minute.
Pershore are gearing up for further pre-season friendlies. On Saturday Pershore entertain Shortwood United, kick-off 3pm.
On Monday, the Town entertain Hereford United, kick-off 7.30pm.
