WITH reference to the letter on riverside parking (Letters, July 20).

It states that the majority of Severn Side North residents are in favour of pedestrianisation along this road. What about the rest of the residents of Bewdley?

For more years than I care to remember, having once been a motorcyclist myself, this area has been a meeting place for motorcyclists and their machines.

I feel sure that most of the owners are responsible and take care when using their machines along this piece of road. If the riders are such a problem, why have we not heard of accidents.

I am in favour of the "primrose parking path" and believe that the numbers of people searching for a free parking space will even itself out after a short time.

Has it been considered that some of the residents of Severn Side North and Dog Lane may be keen on pedestrianisation merely because it will make their properties more valuable?
