IT was certainly the good and the bad news in last week's Journal. The dreadful blow that the Post Office is moving, to a site which is quite unsuitable for the elderly and disabled. Nowhere to get a car anywhere near, too far for many who live at the top of High Street to walk. It is taking the one pleasure away from a lot of people, whose highlight of the week is to fetch their pension.
The elderly are too frightened to drive their cars up the multi-storey car park and then you can't use the Wychavon tickets in there. Come on, let the people have their wish, we don't live in a police state yet!!! The good news of course is that EPHA have bought Durcott Lodge and are hoping to build a high dependency care home. The need for which is greatly on the increase with us all living longer: Let's hope they get the funding.
