A LAST-ditch sticker campaign to force Labour into a U-turn over the closure of Kidderminster General Hospital is to be launched.
Posters and stickers reading "To Blair, Milburn and Lock, we say restore our hospital services now" will be unveiled this weekend in the wake of the intensive care beds shutdown.
Other major services are to go this month.
"We want everyone across Wyre Forest to display these stickers in cars and windows," said Wyre Forest District Council chairman John Gordon.
"Now, as services are being devastated, we urge everyone to stand up and be counted.
"We've always opposed these cuts. We continue to oppose these cuts. We will always oppose these cuts.
"Make no mistake about it. These cuts in essential hospital services will lead to unnecessary deaths."
He urged residents to back the campaign by displaying stickers and posters in their cars and homes.
"This is one battle we can't afford to lose," said council leader Mike Oborski. "We urge everyone to renew their support for the campaign.
"We congratulate the Kidderminster Hospital Campaign and Health Concern on this initiative and urge everyone to support it."
Car stickers can be obtained from Kidderminster Town Hall this Saturday, August 5, Tipplers, Load Street, Bewdley, or from Mr Cleancalls in Stourport-on-Severn.
