MORE than a dozen youngsters took to the stage last Friday as the climax of a week-long theatre course in Brailes.
It was run by playwright Belinda Roberts at the Barn Theatre at her home in the village and attracted 14 children aged between eight and 13.
The course covered all aspects of staging a play from acting and music to costumes, lights and marketing. The young actors and actresses had just a week to make their costumes and learn the lines to Angelica, one of Belinda's own plays, before a performance in front of a packed house of family and friends.
Angelica is due to be published shortly by publishers Samuel French Ltd. Another course runs from August 21 to 25 and anyone interested can contact Mrs Roberts on 01608 685763.
