THE red light could be given to traffic problems in Lickey End.

A number of proposed plans are on display today at Lickey End First School, in School Lane, telling residents about the scheme.

A platform could be put at the junction of School Lane and Alcester Road and a speed platform might be placed at the pedestrian entrance to the school.

Pairs of speed cushions may be installed in School Lane and a pair could also go in Alcester Road, immediately north of Meadowvale Road.

Bromsgrove District Council and Worcestershire County Council are working in partnership to introduce the measures as part of the Safer Routes to School initiative.

At the display, residents will have a chance to discuss any aspect of the scheme with council officers. A leaflet explaining the proposals has been sent to residents.

It also gives them the chance to make comments on the exhibition and asks if they consider the speed of vehicles in Alcester Road and School Lane too high and if they agree with the principle of traffic calming in the area. The display runs from 3pm to 7pm.
