POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was knocked from his bike in a hit-and-run accident at Bournheath.
The youngster had just passed the Nailer's Arms pub, and was travelling towards Dodford, along Yarnold Lane, when a black VW Golf travelling towards him hit his right handle bar.
The teenager fell off his bicycle, which landed on top of him, and the car, which is believed to have been on the wrong side of the road, did not stop.
The youth had bruises, cuts and grazes on his legs and was taken to Redditch's Alexandra Hospital but released the same day.
The car could have a G or H registration and the driver is described as white and in his late twenties.
Bromsgrove's PC Kim Carpenter said: "It was fortunate the youth was wearing his cycle helmet which prevented further injury."
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened about 1pm last Saturday, should call Bromsgrove police on (01527) 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
