Leamington Ladies 1 Redditch United Women's FC 5
THE women's side travelled to Leamington on Sunday to test the talents of their new squad against more seasoned opposition in a pre-season friendly.
While Redditch were adjusting to the pitch and their positions, Leamington squeezed a goal past to take the lead.
Redditch rose to the challenge and responded with a classy overhead kick from Clark, resulting in Richardson's timely goal into the lower corner of the net.
Edney ran a through ball into goal to increase the lead and Ellicott displayed her goal-scoring talent with a confident 25-yard shot.
In the second half, Clark's 25-yard free kick brought the score to 1-4 and a penalty given to Redditch allowed keeper Buckley to show she could score as well as save.
