IN the last game of the season, Redditch under-16 cricket team beat Five Ways to take their first league title.
Redditch, chasing 96, maintained their unbeaten record in the last over to win by three wickets.
In the previous match, Redditch U16s beat Alvechurch U16s by 10 runs.
Both sides batted well on a good wicket to make it a tight game.
Batting first, Redditch made 128-5, Alan White top-scoring with 49.
Alvechurch always had wickets in hand but sensible bowling and fielding managed to contain the score to 118, Andy Apperley being the tidiest bowler with just 14 coming off his four overs.
l Redditch U13s lost to a strong Belbroughton U13s side by 87 runs.
In preparation for next season, Redditch fielded an U12 side to gain experience.
Only Adam Stokes could come to terms with the opposition, bowling to retire on 27 not out.
