BOB Peachey (You Say, July 19) refers to the Colin Buchanan Report. Look what he says on park-and-ride.
"Park and Ride facilities are generally used by non-residents for trips into the city centre. The maximum transfer from car to bus that this is likely to be achieved is relatively small in terms of total trips to the city centre."
On bus lanes: "Comprehensive bus policy schemes reduce road space available for other road users." Would you press ahead on such a flimsy statement?
