A HUNT has been launched for a hit-and-run driver following a collision with a teenage cyclist in Bromsgrove.
The 15-year-old was riding in Yarnold Lane when a black VW Golf - which police said was on the cyclist's side of the road - was in collision with his right handlebar.
The youth fell off but the driver did not stop, Bromsgrove police said.
He suffered bruises, cuts and grazes to his legs and arms during the incident, at about 1pm on Saturday, July 29.
The teenager was treated at Redditch's Alexandra Hospital but later released.
"This was a nasty accident," said PC Kim Carpenter.
"It was fortunate that the youth was wearing his cycle helmet which prevented further injury."
The motorist is described as a white man in his 20s. The car is believed to have a G or H registration plate.
Anyone with information can call Bromsgrove police on 01527 584888.
