A LUCKY Droitwich Spa woman was back at work on the tills at the town's Safeway supermarket hours after rubbing shoulders with Hollywood superstar George Clooney.

Susan Hughes, of Alexander Avenue, was invited to the star-studded Birmingham launch of the former ER star's new movie, The Perfect Storm.

The invitation, which also saw her checking out Boogie Nights star Mark Wahlberg, came after a chance meeting with Warner Brothers executives who extended the invite to include the after-show party.

The 21-year-old and boyfriend Chris Coleman spotted other stars including Tim Downie, who plays Hollyoaks love rat Sam, former Eastender Sid Owen and TV presenter Vanessa Feltz.

The trainee PE teacher at Worcester's University College said: "I didn't get to talk to George Clooney but he and Mark Wahlberg were just feet away."

Susan started her showbiz week by winning tickets to the Mission Impossible 2 premiere in London.

On the train back from the glittering event, she met film bosses who invited her to the launch of The Perfect Storm on July 20.

It coincided with the opening of the Star City entertainment complex where it took place.
