THE new central Redditch first school has been named as Oak Hill First School.
The name was chosen by pupil Aimee Murray, eight, from Arrowcrest First School, which is due to be merged with Ipsley First School as part of the Redditch Review.
Aimee chose the name because of the oak tree at the entrance of Arrowcrest, which will be the site of the new school.
Another pupil, Dean Farmer, seven, also designed the new school logo depicting an oak tree.
