CONFUSION appears to be reigning in some Tory circles as questions are raised about the future of Worcester's housing.
Informed readers will know that the situation has not changed since Labour lost control of the city council in May. Nor has a decision been taken about the closure of neighbourhood offices, despite what some letter-writers might claim.
This has not stopped Labour attempting to crank up a propaganda war over housing.
However, how clued up are the Tories as the spotlight is focused on the ruling administration?
The Evening News ran a story last week in which Councillor David Clark was quoted as the "vice-chairman of the housing sub-committee" - a title he had put in writing on a letter to this newspaper.
Yet as soon as the paper was in the shops Coun Rod Staines called to say he was the vice-chairman of the housing sub-committee. In fact Coun Staines is correct.
"I rattled off the letter in a hurry and was getting so many interruptions that I put housing down instead of vice-chair of the community services committee," said Coun Clark.
