DEFENDER Phil King has left Kidderminster Harriers and linked up with Bath City.

The 32-year-old agreed a settlement with Harriers manager Jan Molby on the remainder of his contract which had a year left to run.

King, who was badly hit by injury last season when he made 17 first team appearances, has joined Bath on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Harriers safety officer Peter Picken has confirmed that current ground development work at Aggborough is well ahead of schedule.

Although the project, which includes the construction of a Police control room, new club shop/ticket office, offices, turnstiles, CCTV cameras and toilets, will not be completed until November 4, he said the work would not hinder Harriers' debut season in the Football League which starts with a home clash against Torquay United on Saturday, August 12.

He added: "Most of the CCTV cameras will be operational in time for the Torquay game while all of the electronic turnstiles will be installed by then. The Football League have no problems with this."
