Delays in the crown prosecutor's office have led to affray charges against two Kidderminster men being thrown out of court.
The Crown Prosecution Service had failed to meet three deadlines for committal proceedings, said their solicitor, Fergus Maxwell.
Andrew Ella, 33, of Larches Cottage Gardens, and Kye Harden, 22, of Shrubbery Street, were discharged.
The offences were alleged on February 2, Mr Maxwell said. Crown court trial was ordered on May 8.
Police delivered the papers in the case to the CPS on June 23, but the prosecutors failed to meet pre-arranged court dates on July 3, 13 and 27.
Liz Tweed, for the CPS, did not resist the application for discharge.
