A DISAPPOINTING performance from Kidderminster Harriers saw them go down 2-0 at Northwich Victoria on Saturday in their latest pre-season friendly.

With record signing Andy Ducros left on the bench, Harriers fell behind with just 11 minutes on the clock when a lashed left wing centre from Darren Vicary was met by a spectacular overhead kick from former Manchester City striker, Adie Mike. The ball then deflected off Mark Shail, wrong-footed goalkeeper Tim Clarke and ended up in the bottom left hand corner of the net.

Eleven minutes later Harriers found themselves two goals in arrears. Vicary was again involved, this time crossing from the left to find Mark Devlin in plenty of space at the far post to head in from eight yards.

It wasn't until the first minute of the second half when Harriers registered their first threat on the Northwich goal, when Paul Webb was unlucky to see his 20-yard shot graze the top of Malcolm Rigby's crossbar.

Stewart Hadley was equally unlucky when his goalbound effort was headed off the line by Mark Bailey 12 minutes later.

With Harriers looking for that evasive breakthrough, Jan Molby brought on Ducros and Ian Foster for Tony Bird and Webb in a double substitution with 25 minutes remaining.

But they could do little on what was a disappointing afternoon for Kidderminster with their Nationwide Division Three opener against Torquay under two weeks away.
