IT was definitely a case of love me, love my horse when Wickhamford rider Carolyne Ryan-Bell got married last Saturday.
Carolyne, of Wickhamford Manor, could not bear to leave her retired advance eventer Hooray Henry II out of all the fun, so she hitched up her skirts and rode him to the church.
It was a far cry from flying around nearly all the advanced three-day events in the country but Henry, modestly decorated with a ribbon he wouldn't put up with anything making him look too silly took it all in his stride.
Despite the fact he is among an elite few horses who have gained more than 1,000 eventing points, he paraded sensibly to Wickhamford Church with Carolyne riding side saddle in her wedding dress and veil.
She married Chipping Campden property developer William Adams. The service was followed by a reception in the grounds of her home.
