A Village concert took place last Friday evening at St James' Church, Colwall.
There was a wide variety of talent including singers, instrumentalists, pianists, dancers and the spoken word. Those taking part were Guy Harland, organist at St James Church who retires in two weeks time, the church choir, church dancers and church orchestra, Young Colwall Players, Samantha Dean, Barbara Joules, Chloe and Rebecca McPherson, Isobel Flett, Mary Baron, Barbara Dutton, Josie Evans, Helen Conway, Sophie Kinder, Genevieve Byers, Mary Evans, Jenny Low, John Richardson, Jenny Hallan, Harriet Smith, Ann and Laura Bienkows-ka, Tricia Hockett, Steve Hockett, Tony Dean and Gerry Higson. The evening was introduced by David Fox. Gerry Higson led the Community Singsong and a vote of thanks was given by Peggy Barber. Refreshments were served during the interval and there was a retiring collection.
The next meeting of Colwall Parish Council will take place on Wednesday, July 26 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
The Annual Show of the Wyche & Colwall Horticultural Society will take place on Saturday, July 29 beginning at 2pm at The Elms School.
