ONE local couple who have lived in Bushley practically all their married lives celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary recently.
Bert and Hilda Cox were married in Bushley Church on July 13, 1940.
They lived at Church End with Hilda's family for the first few years, then they moved to Croftsfield in 1947 when the six houses were built. I believe Hilda was born in Bushley and she celebrated her 80th birthday on July 14.
A celebration party was held for family and friends at the village hall, their two sons Michael and Alan and their grandchildren organised the event.
Many congratulations to Bert and Hilda at this very special time.
