FOLLOWING on from her success on Worcestershire Golf Club Lady Captain's Day, Cathy Harris achieved a fantastic score in the July Medal.

She came in with a net 63 - gross 7, nine shots under her handicap of 14. It's good to see Cathy back on form after her two year, and still on-going, battle with leg and knee problems.

In Division Two Joan Richardson won with net 74 and the second placings were Betty Mitchell, Division One and Hazel Cartledge, Division Two.

The Ladies Open Four Ball was a very successful day and enjoyed by all. The clear winners were the ever improving Jane Tromans and her partner Janet Long with 50 Stableford points. In third place also from the home club were Jane Ackroyd and her partner Diane Meakin a promising new member of the Ladies Section.

On July 11 with a cold northerly wind blowing and very little run on the ball, the ladies played for the Len Phipps Trophy. With the end of her three years hard work as Hon Secretary to the ladies committee in sight, Audrey Emery was able to concentrate all her efforts on playing and came in the clear winner with 38 points. Second with 36 was Val Morgan.

Eight ladies led by Lady Captain Esme Davy, had a good team foursomes match against Kidderminster Golf Club on Thursday. The score being a win to the Worcestershire 3 to .
