JAN Molby has been honoured for masterminding Kidderminster Harriers' Nationwide Conference title triumph.

The former Liverpool and Danish international has been named as the Conference's Manager of the Year with midfielder Mike Marsh also picking up a top award.

He was named as the Conference's Player of the Year.

Molby was red-hot favourite for the manager's award after taking Kidderminster into the Football League in his first season in charge at Aggborough.

Molby and Marsh both collected cheques for £1,000 plus trophies for their efforts at the Conference's end-of-season Congress held in Stratford-upon-Avon at the weekend

Molby follows in the footsteps of former Aggborough boss Graham Allner who received a similar honour when Harriers won the Conference in 1994.

The last Aggborough campaigner to win the Player of the Year award was Lee Hughes in 1997.

Kidderminster defender Adie Smith was named along with Marsh in the Mail on Sunday Team of the Year.

To complete a memorable end of season Harriers matchday programme team of Steve Thomas and Mark Searl scooped the Programme of the Year award for the second successive year.

Molby said: "I'm not a big fan of awards being handed out to individuals as football is a team game, but I'm gladly accepting my award on behalf of all the players and backroom staff.

Marsh said: "To be honest I didn't think I was in the running for this award, but I'm absolutely delighted."

He has now signed for Southport as he is not able to play in the Football League having quit the professional game when he received compensation for an injury.

He said: "I've enjoyed it at Kidderminster from the day I walked through the doors until the day I left. It has certainly been a happy experience for me."

Hereford United's Ian Wright is also included in the Mail on Sunday Team of the Year.

The full line-up is: Adam Sollitt (Kettering), Tarkan Mustafa (Rushden), Adie Smith (Harriers), Ian Wright (Hereford), Paul Underwood (Rushden), Mike Marsh (Harriers, now Southport), Geoff Pitcher (Kingstonian), Stewart Drummond (Morecambe), Carl Alford (Doncaster), Justin Jackson (Morecambe), Warren Patmore (Yeovil).
