PAUL Webb has agreed a two-year full-time contract with Kidderminster Harriers.

"We are delighted," said Harriers manager Jan Molby today.

The 32-year-old influential midfielder has handed in his notice as a warehouse distribution manager to enable him to realise his dream of playing in the Football League.

His new deal includes a one-year option.

The former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner said: "I didn't think I would be here for next season, but Jan dangled me a carrot.

"I've got a good job and some people might say it's a gamble. But it's always been my ambition to be a professional footballer and play in the Football League.

"After three years I can go back into the working environment, but I fully intend to make the most of this opportunity and play for a lot longer.

"I feel with full-time training I'm going to improve. To be honest the one thing that has let me down has been my fitness. Then it's up to me to impress Jan and to get my place in the team."

Molby said: "Paul had maintained throughout the season that full-time football had come too late for him. Once we made it a reality it was too attractive to turn down. It's a brave decision but I think it will be the right one. He will do well, I've got no doubts. He will give us that little bit of strength and that's what we need."

Molby, meanwhile, is hopeful of signing a new deal for himself following discussions with Aggborough chairman Lionel Newton.

"Negotiations are on going, but we certainly hope in the next 48 hours or so there will be some good news."

Meanwhile, defender Les Hines is having talks with Stevenage Borough.
