WORCESTERSHIRE golf champion Joe Ferguson has been rewarded for a consistent season with selection for England.
Ferguson will compete in the European Amateur Championship at the Antwerp Golf and Country club in Belgium next week.
A total of 148 competitors representing 23 countries are set to compete in the international event from Au-gust 17-20.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Kidderminster Golf Club, will warm up for his England debut by playing in two domestic competitions.
Firstly, he tees off this week at the prestigious Walton Heath GC, former host to the Ryder Cup, in the South of England Championship and follows that up with the English Amateur Championship at Bromborough GC from July 25.
