COLIN Youngjohns has been given the prestigious position of president of Kidderminster Harriers after announcing his decision to stand down as chairman.
He will be succeeded in the Aggborough chair by Barry Norgrove who steps up from vice-president after spearheading the recent takeover of the club.
His fellow members of Aggborough Holding, Neil Savery and Gordon Howard, have also become members of the board along with new director Wayne Allen, an investment consultant based in Tewkesbury.
Savery takes on the role of vice-president. Finance director John Baldwin remains on the board. The decision for Youngjohns to step down was mutual after a board meeting earlier this week.
The 59-year-old, who has been a director for 32-years, has been suffering from ill health after a mild stroke earlier this year.
His former boardroom colleagues felt awarding Youngjohns the non-executive position of president was a fitting tribute after all the hard work he has devoted to the club.
Youngjohns said: "It's an honour and a privilege to be given this title and I would like to the board members for honouring me this way. Harriers are in my blood."
