DROITWICH ensured their passage into the next round of the Twenty/20 Cup by defeating Studley on Thursday, July 14.
Put into bat Droitwich were given a strong start by opener Ian Cottrill (64).
Richard Ferley (6) was ran out, but Andrew Fletcher's quickfire 20 made sure Droitwich kept the run rate up.
Damon Gariff added 26 runs, before Mark Edwards bowled him out.
Michael Rogers (17 not out) and Neil Davies (13) then made sure Droitwich's tail end grabbed some crucial runs as they ended their overs on 183-7.
Droitwich then somehow recovered from a strong Studley start to win the game.
Adrian Smith (27) and Brandon Miller (64) had put the Warwickshire team in control. Thomas dismissed Miller and Rogers ran out Smith to turn the game. Martin Woodward (2-32) and Richard Ferley (2-23) were the best of Spa's bowlers, as Studley's order collapsed to 161-8 by the 20th over.
Rogers and Gariff also took a wicket each.
