ALONG with many others I have become dissatisfied with rail services from Bromsgrove, therefore this week I decided to visit Birmingham by bus and make use of my senior citizens bus pass.
As I had read in your paper that the 143 bus no longer went as far as Birmingham I made enquiries about the new 64 'Diamond' bus and was amazed to learn that the return rate would cost me 20p!
There was a distinct lack of passengers as the 144 bus covers a similar route, but doesn't seem to operate a 'loop' system when it reaches the city.
I would highly recommend the 64 and urge people to use it or lose it - it only takes an hour to reach the city.
Rail users might like to give it a try. The phone number for information is 0121 557 0069.
