THE opening of Waitrose moves the town forward into a brighter future than that offered by the backward Socialist/Liberal troglodytes who use the lido only for pre-electioneering purposes.
When the lido re-opens and offers facilities for families of all ages, these people will have to find something new to moan about.
Currently I notice, they have been fly-tipping yellow ribbons around the town, another mess that will have to be cleared up at local taxpayers' expense.
For now though, let us rejoice in the fact that Waitrose has created 170 jobs. Jobs that provide income and stability for families. Jobs that equally reward customers with a higher level of service which other supermarkets will now have to acknowledge as the quality benchmark of modern day shopping in Droitwich.
