THE annual Ladies Cham-pionship at The Vale Golf and Country Club was a hotly con-tested affair over 27 holes on the International Course.
The sunny weather con-tributed to lightning fast greens with some extremely difficult pin positions. The presence of a high swirling wind also made shot selection a true test of golfing ability.
Mastering the course the best was new cham-pion Rosie Loh (84 +41) with Angela Catlin (90+45) the runner-up.
The net winner was Pat Mayo on 108.5 who re-duced her handicap by two shots on the day.
Chris Millward, who re-duced her handicap by one, won the Angorra Cup for handicaps 30+.
