IT seems that the council cave-in to those shopkeepers who complained about the tall trees on the High Street has encouraged another local trader to make a complaint.
This time, it's the gulls. He wants action to be taken against them.
He mentions the mess - a criticism of the council department for the avoidance of street-cleaning, I should have thought.
And he observes that "people have been attacked". Piffle! Gulls are good at swooping over your head, but unless you are menacing one of their nests, they'll leave you alone.
They are also attractive. More than that, they clear the streets with marvellous efficiency of left-over takeaway food, also ignored by the council cleaners. And for free - you'd expect that to appeal to a trader.
