A TOWN woman, who is taking part in Bromsgrove's Race for Life this weekend, has been doing a different kind of training.

Louise Sturman, from the Woodland Grange development, has her trainers at the ready for the charity run this Sunday in Sanders Park.

But the 29-year-old and a group of colleagues from Beiersdorf UK Ltd, in Birmingham, the company behind NIVEA which is a sponsor of the Race for Life, has been taking part in alternative training.

The company has arranged for the group to take part in Egyptian belly dancing, bell ringing, training with a women's rugby club and most recently they challenged 400m star Danny Caines to a three-legged race to show how fit they are.

Race for Life is a series of events in which women take part in 5km runs, or walks to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

l Also taking part are Bromsgrove members of the Rosemary Conley diet and fitness club who hope to raise around £1,000.
