THERE was magic in the air at Bromsgrove library last Saturday thanks to the launch of the latest Harry Potter book.
The Stratford Road site opened early for a special breakfast for 20 youngsters who had got special tickets for the event.
The ghoulish menu included "severed fingers" and "troll's blood" to drink.
Youngsters then designed T-shirts on the Harry Potter theme and also had a potion class.
Bromsgrove MP Julie Kirkbride then judged the fancy dress contest. A similar event at Rubery library was cancelled because of lack of interest.
The book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, was launched at one minute past midnight on Saturday and is tipped to be the fastest selling publication ever.
