Kind-hearted workers at Webbs of Wychbold are regularly running round the garden centre's riverside paths in a bid to boost their fitness for two charity events.
Three of the restaurant staff - Sally Dale, Linda Waldron and Tom Voyce - were gearing up for the Heart FM Run for Home event.
Their team - nicknamed Wych Way Next - was due to find itself dropped at a mystery location a maximum of 100 miles from Birmingham and it then had to find their way home with only £2 and a mobile phone for help.
The trio hoped to raise a minimum of £250 from sponsorship and a pub quiz night, which goes towards the event's chosen children's charity.
Also in training are Webbs staff Barbara Walker and Chris Boam who have entered the 5km Bromsgrove Race for Life this Sunday.
Webbs colleague Tracy Drysdale has also secured a place in the Cheltenham Race for Life event.
Managing director Ed Webb said: "We wish them all the best of luck with these charity events. It's wonderful to have such kind-hearted staff among the Webbs team."
