SPONSORSHIP from Abbey Butchers almost helped Sue Cosnett bring home the bacon from the seventh World Masters Judo Champion-ships.
Sue, who works in the Pershore shop, brought a bronze medal back from Ontario in Canada where the top two places in the F2 63kgs category were filled by an Italian and a German fighter.
Competition was fierce but the member of the Kidderminster-based Samurai club will look back with immense satisfaction on her display in a competition that attracted more than 1,500 entrants from around 50 countries.
