TWO days of action on two, three and four wheels. That's the format at Prescott speed hillclimb this weekend when the Bugatti Owners' Club stage two separate back-to-back meetings.

On both days there will be practice in the morning with the competitive runs in the afternoon from 2pm including rounds of season-long championship series.

Saturday starts with the Paul Matty Classic Lotus Challenge with cars ranging from Steve Cropley's 1955 1172cc Ford-engined Mark 6 to Andrew Bradshaw's 4.7 litre Lotus 30 sports car.

This sets the stage for a series of classes for visiting one-make clubs fighting their own battles.

Racing will include the Reliant Sabre and Scimitar Owners' Club Championship, the Healey Driver International Sprint and Hillclimb series, the Ginetta Owners Club Speed Champ-ionship, the MG Car Club Speed Championship and the Revington TR/TR Register Sprint and Hillclimb Champio-nship.

A series new to Prescott is the Pre-war Austin 7 Bert Hadley Memorial Championship -(named after an Austin works driver who broke records at Prescott in 1939 - with cases for road and track cars.

Saturday's programme incl-udes nine cars in the Bugatti Handicap and is completed by an Open Handicap for Invited Clubs.

Sunday kicks-off with two classes for Bugatti owners' Club members driving modern cars, followed by single-seaters and quick sports cars in the Redline Motorsport Midland Speed Championship, classic 500cc Racing Cars and a round of the TVR Car Club Speed Championship.

Then come the motorcycles and the sidecars, Morgan Three and Four-Wheelers and more variety in the Aldon HAS Championship.

The day's programme concludes with classes for the Owners' Clubs for Ferrari and Allard cars.

There's plenty of local interest with Saturday's Bugatti Hand-icap including Mike Preston (Cheltenham), Mike Marshall (Gloucester) and Charles Trev-elyan (Broadway).

Watch out for Neil Bennett Winchcombe) in his 1935 V8 Batten Special, Grant Cratchley (Cheltenham) in his quick Vixen racing car, Garry Cox (Gloucester) in his Reliant Scimitar, plus Louise Treutlein (Cheltenham) and Frank Forbes (Prescott) among the Healeys.

Sunday's a day for family battles and Terry and Trish Davis (Cheltenham) are well and truly back on track after an early season blow-up in their home-built racer, and class record holder Richard Marshall (Bishops Cleeve) shares the family Peugeot 205 with daughter Fiona, making her Prescott debut.

Adult admission is £12 on both days. Accompanied children under 14 are admitted free and parking is free.
