BEOLEY and Wythall are among areas to benefit from a £1.2m cash injection to improve open spaces across the Bromsgrove district.
Funding of £120,000 has already been earmarked for developing Wythall's play and teenage facilities as part of the district-wide improvement scheme.
Developers offered the cash after a series of deals were drawn up with Bromsgrove Council.
Beoley's football pitch was among items considered for improvement from the remaining £600,000 at yesterday's cabinet meeting.
Bromsgrove councillor June Griffiths said: "We are delighted that we have been able to secure this substantial funding."
