BORED youngsters looking for something to keep them entertained during the summer holidays might find something on offer through Worcestershire County Council's youth service.

The service has arranged a variety of free or low-cost activities for this month and next for 11 to 20 year olds.

Youth workers and partner agencies are providing a programme of activities ranging from sports to arts and including photography, drama and music.

Other options are IT and digital technology, skating and BMX, as well as outdoor activities and trips to various county venues.

Paul Finnemore, county council youth service communications officer, said: "A lot of parents and carers will be told that there's nothing to do but we've worked very hard with our partners to ensure that a whole range of activities can be accessed at youth centres around the county."
