A PERSHORE High School student who was chosen to represent the area in a major technology design competition has scooped one of the top prizes.
Christopher Doughty was picked by the Pershore Rotary Club after they saw his CD storage system with a theme based on a shark.
The design was part of his GCSE project and had to be inexpensive and easy to mass produce.
The finished article was made of polypropylene, designed on Techsoft's 2D Design software and drawn/cut on a CAMM 1 plotter/cutter.
More than 50 schools took part in the competition at Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, chasing atop prize of £1,000.
Christopher's innovative design and laptop presentation impressed the judges and earned him third place and an award of £250.
His design has now attracted the attention of the Arkwright Society.
