STUDLEY came face-to-face with Prudden Road Surfacing Premier League champions Stratford B and claimed a 3-1 win.

Their cause was helped when the table-toppers fielded just one stand-in pair giving their opponents a 2-0 start. The teams drew the remaining rubbers 1-1 giving Studley victory.

It is hoped Stratford field a full side for their final fixture against Claverdon A who are in a close relegation battle with Henley A.

Inkberrow confirmed their runners-up spot with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Chipping Campden A.

Inclement weather disrupted the Division One programme this week. The top of table clash between FISSC A and Bidford A was poised at 1-1 when the heavens opened, flooding the artificial grass courts soon after the commencement of the reverse matches. The teams will meet again next week to complete the match.

The promotion issue remains closely contested. Shipston A, with 34 points, and FISSC A (32) look favourites to reach the Premier although Bidford A are still in contention on 28 points.

The race is on for the runners-up spot in Division Two with Evesham having already secured the title.

Inkberrow and HDA improved their promotion chances with wins last week but Inkberrow face a tough next match against the top side.

In terms of the second relegation spot, Claverdon are currently three points adrift of Alcester but the Alcester side are not yet guaranteed Division Two tennis next season.

Division Three's results were all 4-0 victories, two of which had a major impact on the bottom of the table.

Bidford B beat Henley B and Shipston B lost to Campden B which means Bidford and Shipston swapped places and Bidford are now out of the relegation zone in fifth place, three points ahead of Shipston, who are sixth.
