RBL WOMEN'S SECTION: The monthly meeting was opened by chairman Wendy Griffiths. After the exhortation she welcomed members and the speaker for the evening David Caswell the blacksmith from Badsey. Members were entertained with tales of his work and village life.
Arrangements were made for a mystery trip and meal to take place on August 2 so there will be no meeting in August. There are still some places on this trip and members and friends interested in coming should get in touch with the chairman or committee members.
Two members Mrs K Buckle and J Lloyd who served in the ATS during the war were invited and attended the unveiling of the monument to the women who served during the war.
The meetings take place at St Wulstan's Hall on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. Old and new members are welcome to attend.
